Hospitality and tourism were always it for Christine. The chosen career path began at Georgian College, School of Hospitality & Tourism. Three years later, an honors graduate of Tourism Management & Marketing with summer work experiences in the Muskoka region of Ontario, she set out to build her career.

Since those early days, Christine has worked for several years on cruise ships and then landed in Banff in 2000. For nine years, she served guests in several different roles such as Front Office Manager, Revenue/Reservations Manager, Rooms Division Manager, General Manager, and Marketing Manager.

Then she met a guy (the TSN turning point) which meant moving to BC and leaving the beloved Bow Valley and the GM’s chair. Stepping out of the hotel, she could see how the GM’s job, often paired with marketing was overwhelming.

It was then that Christine received a pivotal piece from a veteran Hotel Manager and Property Management Owner who suggested that she start her own business. He encouraged her to use her operations and marketing experience to help hotels that didn't have a marketing team.

So Christine set out in 2010 to do just that.

Christine’s mission was, and still is, to provide highly customized hotel marketing services that larger agencies, often with cookie-cutter solutions, can't match.

Her experience in operations and marketing packs a one-two punch and uniquely qualifies her to help hotels and their teams achieve their goals in a supportive and understanding way.

Steve Jobs’ quote “The only way to do great work is to love what you do” rings true for Christine. Helping hotels achieve their goals and strengthen their brand is a daily motivation and joy.

Christine lives in Cranbrook, British Columbia, on the western slope of the Canadian Rocky Mountains with her husband, two young daughters, and “Dude” their family hamster. They enjoy their mountain playground for their family’s hiking, fishing, golfing, camping, skiing, and biking adventures.
Christine also loves reading personal and business development books, a good podcast, dark roast coffee, and any kind of Latin inspired food.

Keara fell in love with the hospitality industry while living in the beautiful destination of Invermere, B.C. She hails from Calgary and spent much of her childhood exploring the Rockies year-round and travelling to many other areas in the world with her family. Her favourite place to be is outdoors.

Keara has a Bachelor of Arts in behavioural science and has held leadership and supporter roles in the hospitality industry as well as non-profit organizations - all to do with her passion for people.

Keara jumps at the opportunity to build out websites, create content, package and experiences, and connect with people through creative social media. Her audience-centric copywriting skills have readers feeling understood - a valuable skill for Malfair Marketing clients. She is also skilled in productivity, systems creation, and project management.

Keara lives in Calgary and has two young children. She loves spending time with friends and family at the lake, on the volleyball court, and on the ski hill.
